If you have at least 12 months of service time in MPK, to achieve 150 service months, you may also include service time from:

• The Guarantee Fund for Fishermen
• Service on Norwegian state-owned vessels
• Service on vessels from EU/EEA countries

Service periods from these sources can be combined to meet the 150-month eligibility requirement for a pension. Your pension amount is calculated based solely on the months earned specifically with MPK. This “auxiliary time” is only applicable once your total combined service reaches at least 150 months.

Applies to members on an income‑related plan:

Service on vessels from EU/EEA countries can be included to meet the 36-month eligibility requirement for a pension. This service does not increase the pension capital (premium), but only counts toward the right to receive a pension (entitlement).
