It takes into account whether you have a pension balance in the income-based scheme, service months in the seagoing service time based scheme, or accruals in both schemes, in which case service months will be converted into a pension balance.

If you have service time before 01.01.2020, you will either belong to the service time-based scheme or have your service time converted to a pension account when you turn 62 years old. If you do not have service time before 01.01.2020, you will only accrue a pension account.

Members who were 50 years or older on January 1, 2020 belong to the service time-based scheme. New members regardless of age and existing members under 50 years old on January 1, 2020 will have accrual in the income-based scheme.
