We are now checking pensionable income for members who received a income-tested pension supplement as part of their seaman’s pension in 2022.

Members who received the pension supplement in 2022, but who had a pensionable income above 2G (the equivalent of NOK 222,954 in 2022), will have the pension supplement reclaimed. This will take place in the form of deductions from the current pension of a maximum of 20 per cent each month, or in the form of a claim, if the pension has ceased.

Members who had an income below 2G in 2022, but who did not receive the pension supplement, will have the pension supplement postpaid.

If this applies to you, you will receive a decision on deductions from your pension, back payment or claim in the period December 2023 to January 2024.
