Those who worked on Norwegian ships at the turn of the year 2020\/2021 must still be members of MPK also after the turn of the year 2020\/2021. The &#8220;cross-border situation&#8221;, i.e. work on Norwegian ships, must continue &#8220;without interruption&#8221; (Separation Agreement art. 29 no. 2).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">For Britons who were employed on Norwegian ships after the turn of the year 2020\/2021, the bilateral social security agreement between Norway and Great Britain applies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>With effect from 1 January 2024<\/strong>, a new convention on social security coordination between Great Britain, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway applies.
